Countertop Materials We Install

We work with a range of countertop materials to fit every budget, style, and kitchen layout. Here's what we install:

Quartz Countertops

Quartz is the most popular countertop material in Northern Virginia homes. Engineered for consistency, non-porous, scratch resistant, and virtually maintenance free. Available in hundreds of colors and patterns — from solid whites to realistic marble looks. Best for homeowners who want a high-end look without the upkeep of natural stone.

Granite Countertops

Granite is a natural stone that brings unique character to every kitchen — no two slabs are identical. Heat resistant, durable, and timeless. Requires periodic sealing but holds up extremely well in busy kitchens. Popular in Northern Virginia homes for its classic look and long-term value.

Marble Countertops

Marble is the premium choice for homeowners who want a truly distinctive kitchen. The veining patterns are unmatched by any engineered material. Requires more care than quartz or granite — softer and more porous — but properly sealed and maintained it's a stunning long-term investment.

Quartzite Countertops

Quartzite is a natural stone harder, denser, and more durable than marble. It has the look of marble with better resistance to heat, scratching, and etching. A premium option for homeowners who want natural stone performance with a marble-like aesthetic.

Porcelain Countertops

Porcelain slabs are an increasingly popular alternative to natural stone — extremely hard, non-porous, UV resistant, and available in large format slabs. Great for kitchens that get heavy use and homeowners who want a low-maintenance surface with a clean modern look.

Butcher Block Countertops

Solid wood butcher block adds warmth and character to kitchens — especially in combination with stone countertops on the perimeter. Works well as an island top or in farmhouse style kitchens. Requires oiling and maintenance but brings a natural organic feel that stone and engineered surfaces can't replicate.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Moda Kitchen & Bath For Your Project

We Measure, Fabricate & Install

We handle the entire countertop process in-house — templating, fabrication, and installation. No third-party fabricator dropping off slabs and leaving. Our crew measures, cuts, and installs everything themselves.

Wide Material Selection

We install quartz, granite, marble, quartzite, porcelain, and butcher block. We help you select the right material for your kitchen, budget, and lifestyle — not just whatever is easiest for us to install.

Written Quote Upfront

Before any templating begins you get a full written quote covering material, fabrication, installation, sink cutout, and sealing. No surprise charges when the installers show up — what we quote is what you pay.

Licensed & Insured

Fully licensed and insured in Virginia. Virginia Contractor License #2705183500. Countertop installation involves precise cuts around plumbing and appliances — you want a licensed crew handling it properly.

See Samples in Our Showroom

Visit our Fairfax showroom to see countertop material samples in person before you decide. Picking a countertop from a photo online is hard — seeing the actual slab, texture, and veining in person makes the decision much easier.

Common Questions About Kitchen Countertops

Quartz is the most popular choice for Northern Virginia kitchens because it's non-porous, low maintenance, durable, and available in a wide range of colors and patterns. Granite is a close second for homeowners who prefer natural stone. The best material depends on your budget, lifestyle, and how heavily you use your kitchen — we help you decide during the consultation.
Countertop replacement in Northern Virginia typically ranges from $3,000 to $15,000 depending on the size of your kitchen, the material you choose, and the complexity of the installation. Quartz and granite are mid-range, marble and quartzite tend to be on the higher end. We provide a full written quote after measuring your kitchen.
The installation itself typically takes one day. However the full process — consultation, templating, fabrication, and installation — usually takes 1 to 2 weeks from start to finish. We give you a clear timeline after the templating visit.
Quartz is an engineered material made from crushed quartz mixed with resin — consistent, non-porous, and low maintenance. Quartzite is a natural stone that forms from sandstone under heat and pressure — harder than marble, requires sealing, and has natural variation in pattern. Both look similar but perform differently.
Yes. We remove and dispose of your existing countertops as part of the installation. You don't need to arrange separate demo — our crew handles everything from removal to final installation.
Yes. We cut the sink opening and install undermount sinks as part of the countertop installation. If you're replacing your sink at the same time as your countertops — which we recommend — we coordinate both in the same visit.
Yes. Granite, marble, and quartzite are porous natural stones that should be sealed after installation and periodically thereafter. We seal all natural stone countertops after installation as part of our service. Quartz and porcelain do not require sealing.
Yes. Visit our Fairfax showroom to see countertop material samples in person. Seeing the actual slab, texture, and veining in real life makes it much easier to decide than picking from a photo online.
We serve Fairfax, Burke, Herndon, McLean, Reston, Tysons, Vienna, Centreville, Chantilly, Springfield, Alexandria, Ashburn, and surrounding areas across Northern Virginia.
